HUB Connect Membership | Terms and Conditions

The Pacific Business Hub ("TPBH") operates the HUB Connect Membership programme to support businesses, professionals, and individuals through networking, services, and business development opportunities.

HUB Connect is built on the TAUTAI Business Framework — a Pacific navigation system that supports entrepreneurs to start, grow, and sustain their businesses in a way that honours their culture, their community, and their obligations.

While FREE and COMMUNITY Membership are open to all, TAUTAI Membership is exclusively available to Pacific peoples as part of TPBH's mission to support the Pacific business community.

These Terms & Conditions outline the membership categories, eligibility, benefits, fees, responsibilities, and access to services and facilities.

1. Membership Categories
HUB Connect offers the following membership categories:

Businesses — covering one nominated representative from a business or organisation.
Professionals — for individual practitioners seeking networking, support, and opportunities.
Individuals — for those interested in business development and community connection.
Others — open to Not-For-Profit organisations, NGOs, Charitable Trusts, and Incorporated Societies.

2. Membership Options
HUB Connect offers three membership options:
  1. FREE Membership — open to all individuals, professionals, and businesses, regardless of background, industry, or location. This membership provides access to essential support and connection at no cost.
  2. COMMUNITY Membership — open to all individuals, professionals, and businesses. This paid membership provides consistent access to The Pacific Business Hub, a professional working environment, and a supportive business community. A minimum 12-month commitment applies.
  3. TAUTAI Membership — available exclusively to individuals and businesses of Pacific Island heritage. This is TPBH's core membership, offering full access to the TAUTAI navigation cycle — from connection and direction-setting through to practical tools, ongoing support, and a safe harbour when the journey gets hard. A minimum 12-month commitment applies.

3. Eligibility

FREE Membership is open to all, with no eligibility restrictions.

COMMUNITY Membership is open to all individuals and businesses, with no eligibility restrictions.

TAUTAI Membership is available exclusively to individuals and businesses of Pacific Island heritage, including those with ancestral or cultural ties to Pacific communities across Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia.

This targeted support aligns with TPBH’s mission to support and strengthen the Pacific business community and is consistent with Section 73 of the Human Rights Act 1993.

Verification: To maintain the integrity of TAUTAI Membership, TPBH may request confirmation of Pacific heritage or cultural identity. This may include a declaration of ancestry, community affiliation, or other supporting information. All applications are subject to review and TPBH reserves the right to approve or decline any application.

4. Fees & Payments
FREE Membership — no fees apply.

COMMUNITY Membership — $115 per month, with a minimum 12-month term. Fees may be paid monthly or in advance annually.

TAUTAI Membership — $50 per month, with a minimum 12-month term. Business members receive a 50% discount for each additional eligible member, such as employees or co-directors. Fees may be paid monthly or in advance annually.

General payment terms:
Fees are subject to annual review. Members will receive at least 30 days' written notice of any fee changes. Outstanding payments may be added to the next scheduled payment cycle. Where payments remain outstanding for an extended period, recovery costs may apply.

5. Minimum Membership Term
For COMMUNITY and TAUTAI Memberships, the minimum term is 12 months from the date of acceptance. Early cancellation will require payment of any remaining fees for the balance of that term.

6. Membership Benefits
Benefits vary by membership tier and are outlined in the membership overview on our website. View Benefits

7. Access to Services & Facilities
Members have access to TPBH facilities and services during standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Where early access is required, this may be arranged at TPBH's discretion and should be requested in advance. Facility access must be booked through our online booking system.

Please note:
Additional charges may apply for food, special events, workshops, or training. While TPBH makes every effort to ensure availability, facility access cannot always be guaranteed.

8. Membership Renewal & Continuation
Memberships automatically renew at the end of each term unless written notice of cancellation has been received. Membership continues as long as payments are current and these Terms & Conditions are upheld.

9. Cancellation
Cancellation by the member:
Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting TPBH in writing by email to [email protected], by phone, or in person. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, notice must be received at least 5 business days before the next scheduled payment date. This applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions. If notice is received after this window, the next scheduled payment may still be processed. For COMMUNITY and TAUTAI Memberships, early cancellation within the 12-month minimum term will require settlement of any remaining fees for that term.

Cancellation or termination by TPBH:
TPBH reserves the right to suspend or cancel a membership for any of the following reasons: breach of these Terms & Conditions; non-payment of fees for more than three billing cycles; behaviour that disrupts TPBH's environment, community, or operations; or misuse of membership benefits.

All membership benefits cease immediately upon cancellation or termination.

10. Member Conduct
All members are expected to uphold TPBH's values and contribute positively to our community. TPBH reserves the right to update conduct guidelines as needed, with reasonable notice provided to members.

Members agree to:
  • act respectfully and professionally at all times;
  • comply with usage guidelines for facilities, platforms, and events;
  • refrain from disruptive behaviour or unauthorised promotions;
  • not engage in illegal activity through TPBH platforms or premises; and
  • follow all applicable health and safety requirements.

11. Photography & Images
TPBH is an active community and regularly shares content across its website, social media, and publications. By becoming a member, you consent to TPBH using photographs or images of you taken at TPBH events, workshops, and activities in official TPBH communications, including our website, social media channels, and newsletters.

If you do not wish to be photographed or included in any specific content, please notify TPBH staff at the time. Members must obtain consent from others before taking and sharing photographs of fellow members or Hub visitors.

12. Liability & Disclaimers
TPBH provides networking, business development support, and access to resources as part of its membership offering. While TPBH walks alongside its members and provides genuine guidance and support, it does not guarantee specific business outcomes or financial results.

TPBH is not liable for: business dealings or disputes between members; losses or damages arising from third-party services or referrals; or the unavailability of facilities due to unforeseen circumstances. Members make their own business decisions and are responsible for their own outcomes.

13. Privacy & Use of Personal Information

  • processing your membership application;
  • maintaining your information within TPBH systems and directories;
  • communicating updates, opportunities, and member information;
  • using approved photos or images in TPBH publications and platforms;
  • meeting legal or regulatory obligations; and
  • maintaining records related to your membership.

Your personal information will be handled with care and in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020.

Accessing or updating your information: You have the right to request access to personal information TPBH holds about you, and to request a correction if any information is inaccurate or incomplete. To make a request, please email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

14. Application Process
Once your application is submitted, we aim to respond within three business days. If you have not heard from us within this timeframe, please follow up directly to ensure your application has been received.

All applications go through a due diligence process. TPBH reserves the right to decline any application. Where possible, we will provide guidance on next steps. Successful applicants will receive a welcome email with onboarding information. Please allow up to 14 days for full processing and onboarding.

15. Acceptance of Terms

16. Changes to Terms & Conditions
TPBH reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect changes in services, operations, or policy. Members will be notified of any significant changes. Continued use of membership benefits and services indicates acceptance of the most current version. If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, please contact us.
