HUB Connect Membership Terms and Conditions

HUB Connect Membership – Terms & Conditions
The Pacific Business Hub (“TPBH”) operates the HUB Connect Membership programme to support businesses, professionals, and individuals through networking, services, and business development opportunities. While the FREE Membership is open to all, the VIP Membership is exclusively available to Pacific peoples as part of TPBH’s mission to uplift and empower the Pacific business community. These Terms & Conditions outline the membership categories, eligibility, benefits, fees, responsibilities, and access to services and facilities.

Membership Categories
​
HUB Connect offers the following membership categories:
  • Businesses: Covers one nominated representative from a business or organisation.
  • Professionals: For individual practitioners seeking networking, support, and opportunities.
  • Individuals: For those interested in business development and community connection.
  • Others: Open to Not-For-Profit organisations, NGOs, Charitable Trusts, and Incorporated Societies.

Membership Eligibility Criteria

HUB Connect offers two membership options:
  • FREE Membership: Open to all individuals, professionals, and businesses, regardless of background, industry, or location.
  • VIP Membership: Available exclusively to individuals and businesses of Pacific Island heritage. This includes people from or with ancestral ties to Pacific nations such as Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Nauru, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, and the Marshall Islands.
This targeted support aligns with The Pacific Business Hub’s mission to serve the Pacific business community and is permitted under Section 73 of the Human Rights Act 1993, which allows for programmes that assist disadvantaged groups to achieve equality.

Verification:
To maintain the integrity of this offering, TPBH may request confirmation of Pacific heritage for VIP Membership. This may include (but is not limited to):
  • A declaration of ancestry or connection to a Pacific nation.
  • Community involvement or affiliation with Pacific organisations.
  • Public records or documents that support cultural identity.
All applications are subject to review. TPBH reserves the right to approve or decline applications based on eligibility and fit with the purpose of the membership tier.

Membership Subscription Options
​
Members can choose from the following plans:
  • FREE Membership
    Open to all individuals, professionals, and businesses. This membership provides access to basic networking and support opportunities.
  • VIP Membership
    Available exclusively to individuals and businesses of Pacific heritage. This membership includes enhanced benefits, services, and access, with a minimum 12-month commitment. Early cancellation will require settlement of any outstanding fees.

Access to Services & Facilities
Members have access to TPBH facilities and services during standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Access must be booked via our online booking system.

Please note:
  • Additional charges may apply for food, special events, workshops, or training.
  • While TPBH endeavours to ensure availability, facility access is not guaranteed.

Fees & Payments
  • FREE Membership: No fees apply.
  • VIP Membership: $50 per month, with a 12-month minimum term.
    • Business members receive a 50% discount for each additional eligible member (e.g. employees or directors).
    • Fees may be paid monthly or annually in advance.

Other payment terms
:
  • Fees are subject to annual review, with a 30-day notice provided for any increases.
  • Missed payments will be added to the next scheduled payment.
  • Recovery costs may apply for ongoing non-payment.

Minimum Membership Term
​
For VIP Membership, the minimum term is 12 months. Early cancellation requires payment of any remaining fees for the rest of the term.

Membership Renewal & Continuation
  • Memberships automatically renew unless cancelled in writing.
  • To cancel, members must give at least 5 business days’ notice before the renewal date by emailing: [email protected].
  • Membership continues as long as payments are current.

Member Conduct
​
All members must uphold TPBH's values and code of conduct. TPBH reserves the right to update conduct guidelines as needed.

Members agree to:
  • Act respectfully and professionally at all times.
  • Comply with usage guidelines for all facilities and events.
  • Refrain from disruptive behaviour, unauthorised promotions, or activities that negatively impact others.
  • Not engage in illegal activity on the premises.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
  • Obtain consent before taking photographs of others.

Cancellation or Termination of Membership
TPBH reserves the right to suspend or cancel membership for any of the following:
  • Breach of these Terms & Conditions.
  • Non-payment of fees for more than three billing cycles.
  • Behaviour that disrupts TPBH’s environment or operations.
  • Misuse of membership benefits.

Cancellation by Member
Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting TPBH via email, phone, or in person.
  • To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, members must give at least 5 business days' notice before the next scheduled payment date.
  • This applies to both monthly and yearly subscriptions.
  • If notice is received late, the next scheduled payment may still be processed.
  • Some memberships may incur cancellation fees, as outlined in the plan details.

​All membership benefits end immediately upon cancellation or termination.

Liability & Disclaimers
TPBH provides networking, support, and business development opportunities. However, it does not guarantee specific outcomes or business success.

TPBH is not liable for:
  • Business dealings between members.
  • Disputes, losses, or damages from third-party services or referrals.
  • Unavailability of facilities due to unforeseen events.

​Members are solely responsible for their business decisions and actions.

Acceptance of Terms
​
By signing up for HUB Connect, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Privacy and Use of Personal Information
By submitting your application, you consent to The Pacific Business Hub (TPBH) collecting, using, and disclosing your personal information for the following purposes:
  • Processing your membership application.
  • Adding your information to our CRM system and the HUB Connect Member Directory (visible to other members).
  • Using photos or images of you in official TPBH publications, including our website, social media, and newsletters.
  • Meeting any applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Retaining your information for record-keeping, even if your membership lapses.

​Your personal information will be handled with care and in accordance with our privacy obligations.

Accessing or Updating Your Information
In accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to your personal information held by TPBH and to request correction if any information is inaccurate or incomplete. To make a request, please email [email protected]. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

Application Process
  • Once your application is submitted, we aim to respond within three business days.
  • If you have not heard from us within this timeframe, please follow up with us directly, as occasionally applications may not come through correctly.
  • All applications undergo a due diligence process.
  • TPBH reserves the right to decline any application without obligation to provide a reason.
  • Successful applicants will receive a welcome email and next steps.
  • Please allow up to 14 days for full processing and onboarding.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

TPBH reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect changes in services, operations, or policies. Members will be notified of any significant changes, but we encourage all members to review the Terms & Conditions periodically. Continued use of membership benefits and services indicates acceptance of the most current version. If you are unsure about any part of the terms, please contact us for clarification.
